Can I substitute my meal?

🔄 What You Can Do

  • Swap with App Recipes: You can replace any planned meal with a different recipe from our extensive database by using the Swap icon within the Meal Plan tab.

  • Log Custom Meals (New!): If you eat off-plan, you can now log your own meals with full macro and calorie information using the "Add manually" or "Scan with AI" features.

  • Update Preferences: You can change your meal plan settings (e.g., switching to Vegetarian or Keto) in your Settings; a new plan will be generated for you starting the next day.

  • Adjust Goal Weight: You can update your target weight in your profile at any time, though your starting weight remains fixed for tracking purposes.


🛠️ How to Substitute in the New UI

When you are ready to change a meal, navigate to the Meal Plan summary and tap the "+" icon next to the meal you want to replace. Select "I ate something else" to see these options:

  • Pick from recipes: Search for a different Reverse Health dish to find a better fit for your cravings.

  • Scan with AI: Simply snap a photo of your plate, and the AI will estimate the Calories, Protein, Carbs, and Fats for you.

  • Add manually: Enter the name and nutritional details of your meal yourself to keep your daily totals accurate.


⚠️ Important Considerations

  • Category Consistency: To maintain balanced energy levels throughout the day, we recommend swapping "Breakfast for Breakfast" and "Dinner for Dinner" whenever possible.

  • Starting Weight: While you can adjust your goals, your initial starting weight cannot be changed as it serves as the baseline for your progress history.
