IMPORTANT NOTE: this feature is only available for customers who purchased the Walking plan.
There are two ways to track your walking progress in the app: syncing your daily steps automatically via Health Connect (for Android) or Apple Health (for iOS) or manually logging your activity.
1. Syncing Steps Automatically:
Android
The app does not connect directly to devices like the Samsung Galaxy Watch or individual apps like Google Fit. Instead, we read data via Health Connect.
How to set it up:
Open the Reverse Health app.
If Health Connect is not installed on your phone, the app will prompt you to download it from the Play Store.
Once installed, tap “Open Health Connect” and follow the steps to grant permissions.
Important: Ensure your preferred tracking app (e.g., Fitbit, Samsung Health, Google Fit) is also connected to Health Connect.
Note: At the moment, there’s no direct option to sync a Samsung Galaxy Watch with the app directly. We are looking into adding better Samsung/Wear OS integration in future updates.
iOS
iOS The app syncs your data through Apple Health.
How to set it up:
Open the Reverse Health app.
Tap the My Day tab at the bottom, then select Connect.
This will show the Apple Health access screen. Tap Open Apple Health.
Follow the instructions to use the phone’s tracker with your device.
2. Manually Logging a Walk
If you prefer to log your walks manually or do not use a wearable device, you can input your activity directly into your daily plan.
Go to the My Day tab
Scroll and tap Let’s move
Tap I already exercised today
Select Walking
Tap Continue
3. Guided Walking Sessions
IMPORTANT NOTE: this feature is only available for customers who purchased the Walking plan.
If you are following the specific walking program included in your plan, navigate to the Fitness tab and select Walking. From there, two options will appear:
Indoor Workouts: A daily guided indoor walking program for 28 days.
Guided Walking: Includes three categories with three exercises each.
How to use the Guided Walking Sessions:
Select Guided Walking Sessions.
Tap on a specific Workout, then tap Start Workout.
Choose your setting: Outdoor or Treadmill.
Press Play to begin.
Finishing your workout:
If you decide not to finish the full session, tap the Stop button (⏹), then select End workout.
If you complete the workout, tap Continue, and the screen will show Workout Completed.
Finally, tap Done and a checkmark will appear to confirm that the workout is finished.
